Busy place that gets quite loud. Menu has some interesting items like mole. I want to like this place because it's different and not cookie-cutter Mexican, but after 3 visits I still find the food a bit bland. They use fresh ingredients and the presentation quality is solid. Portions are ample. Staff does a good job. But the intense bursts of flavor, well, they're just not there. The food doesn't pop in a way that makes me want another bite. It's good. Just not great. And I hate being the killjoy amongst all the great reviews.

The service was pretty good, considering how packed it was. The food was real good, too. The fajita marinade was a little sweet, but they were soft. The pork was just as soft, but was seasoned to perfection. The tortillas could use some work. The flour are not fluffy, and the corn had a flat texture. Tortillas and beans can make a restaurant authentic, or they can make you compare places to taco cabana.

This was the first restaurant we visited in San Antonio. I think it raised the bar quite high for every other restaurant we dined at after that. We all agreed that this was the best. We went for lunch and it was packed. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. The margaritas were tasty as was the food. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We went during Fiesta and though they were very busy, we didn't have to wait long. And the waitress was so nice and helpful. The drinks were awesome as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Best frozen margaritas. Awesome happy hour deals on drinks. Food was also very good. Highly recommend. Will definitely return next time I am in town.
